Derek Carr saw his season with the Las Vegas Raiders end with him not playing their last game.
Him missing this game wasn’t because of an injury, but because the team benched him.
While his benching wasn’t a shock, the team having him stay away from the last game was a shocker.
The events which unfolded after the last game of the season led everyone to believe the Raiders and Carr were done with each other.
However, NFL insider Dov Kleiman has some surprising news about Carr.
He reports the Raiders are not allowing him and his camp to seek a trade.

The news is odd because Carr made it clear on Twitter he was moving on from the Raiders.
While the Raiders might want to control which team gets their quarterback, they don’t have the final say in where he goes.
With Carr having a no-trade clause in his contract, he controls which team gets him.
However, the Raiders might hope they can work things out with their veteran quarterback.
While he suffered from interceptions this season, the team might feel he’s their only hope currently.
If they don’t think they can land a better quarterback, then working with him might be the best option.
But they will need for him to work on protecting the ball, something he hasn’t done throughout his career.
While everyone sees the veteran quarterback going to another team in 2023, the Raiders might force him to stay.
If this happens, the team might be in for another horrible season under the coaching of Josh McDaniels.
