After a disappointing 2022 season, the Las Vegas Raiders are looking to get back on track in 2023.
During the offseason, Derek Carr has already announced that he will be leaving the team, and the Raiders are now forced to test the trade market for him.
While it is currently unknown as to who will be suiting up under center for the Raiders next season, the team did make a move for a new receiving option today.
The Raiders have signed WR Tyler Johnson to a Reserve/Future deal. He was a 2020 5th round pick of the Buccaneers.

Tyler Johnson, a former University of Minnesota Golden Gopher, will be lacing up his cleats for the Raiders next season.
Although Johnson was unable to find great success as a member of the Tampa Buccaneers, there is a reason for the Raiders to get excited about his presence on the team.
Unfortunately for Johnson, there wasn’t much need for him on the Buccaneers, considering they already had Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Rob Gronkowski to throw the ball to.
His success at the collegiate level indicates that Johnson might be able to find a new home in Las Vegas.
While in college, Johnson racked up 213 receptions, 3,305 yards, and 33 touchdowns.
The University of Minnesota hasn’t produced a great receiver in several years, but Johnson could certainly play a key role for the Raiders next season.
At this moment, the Raiders’ true number-one option at the receiver position is Davante Adams.
After that, it’s completely wide open, which is why we believe Johnson would be a good fit for this team.
Look for Johnson to be a role-player in the NFL in 2023.
