The Deshaun Watson trade market has been on hold the past year as his legal situation played out in court.

Friday was a day of clarity as the grand jury findings were revealed.

As it turns out, the quarterback has been cleared of any criminal charges.

This is an enormous piece of news and means his trade market should heat up starting right now.

Will Watson Be Cleared To Play Right Away?

Yet there remains a question of if he will be cleared by the NFL to play without a suspension.

There is still a personal conduct policy in place that can punish Watson even if he doesn’t face criminal charges.

Yet NFL fans know how the league operates and teams will still rush to trade for the quarterback even if he has to miss some time.

Friday’s update is good news for the Houston Texans because they can finally start the process of moving on from their former franchise signal-caller.

His decision to sit out in 2021 cast a weird feel over the entire franchise and led to David Culley being fired as head coach after only one season.

So where will he go?

The Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, and Indianapolis Colts are all in the mix, while teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers could use an upgrade at quarterback as well.

What we do know is that plenty of offers should come in given this latest update.

And while the Texans will try to drive the price up, finally moving on will be good for all sides involved in this saga.
