Los Angeles Rams fans were less than enthused to hear that Cooper Kupp left training camp early due to an apparent injury.
It was initially reported that Kupp was injured, but other details weren’t revealed.
According to Adam Schefter, Kupp may have re-injured his hamstring, seeing that he had an MRI on the affected area.
Rams’ WR Cooper Kupp underwent an MRI on his hamstring and while the team will be very cautious with him, one source said he potentially could be back “for scrimmages in a few weeks.” https://t.co/0KRMH8lzfH

There isn’t a definite timetable for Kupp to return, but Schefter did indicate that he might be back for team scrimmages.
With slightly more than one month to go until the regular season, this was not the news that Rams fans hoped for.
The team’s 2022 season was ravaged by injuries, and it appears that some of those issues have followed them into 2023.
Kupp has struggled with hamstring issues in the past.
With this news in mind, the Rams could be considering their options, wondering who the next man up will be.
Kupp is the WR1 on this team, evidenced by his 191 targets during the 2021 season.
This was Kupp and Matthew Stafford’s first season together, a connection that was almost instant.
With both Stafford and Kupp suffering from their respective injuries last season, Tyler Higbee led the team in targets.
He could be in for a similar workload to begin the year if Kupp misses any time.
Rams fans should keep their eyes peeled for Ben Skowronek and Van Jefferson, who might be tasked with the bulk of receiver targets.
This, of course, is a worst-case scenario that assumes that Kupp will miss time.
If he doesn’t, fans will be treated to another season of the Kupp and Stafford show.
