Las Vegas Raiders general manager Dave Ziegler and owner Mark Davis understand that winning has a price.
The highly-competitive AFC West convinced them that opening their wallet would give them a fighting chance.
However, the fortune they’ve spent will positively affect both sides of the ball.
ESPN’s Field Yates pointed out the Raiders’ shopping spree this offseason.
It’s like they went all in with their chips, hoping that they will reap the benefits later.
The Raiders have been SPENDING this offseason:
QB Derek Carr: 3-years, $121.5M
WR Davante Adams: 5-years, $142.5M
DE Maxx Crosby: 4-years, $98.98M
Edge Chandler Jones: 3-years, $51M💰 💰 💰

The Raiders started the offseason by giving defensive end Maxx Crosby a four-year, $98 million extension.
The former Eastern Michigan standout is coming off a season with 36 solo tackles and eight sacks.
Crosby has 25 sacks and 12 passes defended in three years with the Raiders.
They’ve also added Chandler Jones, who agreed to a three-year, $51 million contract.
The Raiders also made a big splash on offense by acquiring All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams on a five-year, $142.5 million deal.
To complete their high spending, they gave quarterback Derek Carr a three-year, $121.5 million extension.
Making Sense Of The Raiders’ Signings
While Crosby can rush the quarterback, he also has the speed to cover some ground when they go to a zone defense.
On the other hand, Jones will trigger their pass rush, as proven by his 10.5 sacks and six forced fumbles last season.
Carr and Adams give them one of the league’s better quarterback-receiver tandems.
They would be challenging to neutralize if both of them are playing well.
Adams also gives the Raiders a wideout that can stretch the field, which was the role of Henry Ruggs III.
Hunter Renfrow, Bryan Edwards, and Darren Waller will also benefit from the attention Adams attracts from opposing defenses.
