Although Rodgers had announced yesterday that he would be playing against the Bears, there was still speculation about his status for Sunday’s game.
However, in a presser today, coach Matt LaFleur confirmed Rodgers’ comments.
Having Rodgers start indicates that the Packers still believe that they have a chance to make the playoffs this season, although, the odds are not in their favor.
Even if they win the rest of their games, the Packers would finish the season at 9-8.
Their NFC North divisional rival, the Minnesota Vikings, has already amassed nine wins on the season.
The best that the Packers can hope for at this point is that they will enter the playoffs as a Wild Card team.
Rodgers’ Career Against Chicago
If there were ever an opposing team for the Packers to play in a ‘must-win’ scenario, it would be the Bears.
Rodgers and the Packers have won seven straight meetings with the Bears, and Rodgers has an impressive record of 23-5 against them in his career.
Will the Packers be able to run the table and sneak into the playoffs?
Find out on Sunday, as the Packers take on the Bears at Soldier Field.
