Some people thought the trade rumors about Russell Westbrook of the Los Angeles Lakers would die down as the new season races closer.
All summer long, we heard rumors of where Westbrook could be headed and why each subsequent deal wasn’t coming together.
There came a point when it just felt like no one else would take Westbrook and he was bound to the Lakers.
Now, just days before the new season starts, rumors are starting up again.
The latest says that Westbrook could be sent to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Buddy Hield and/or Myles Turner.
This is an alleged package we have heard before but it’s been spoken of a lot lately.
However, Darvin Ham, head coach of the Lakers, sounds committed to Westbrook.
Darvin Ham reiterates support for Russell Westbrook amid constant trade rumors. "He’s ours, and we love him. We want him to do well. You know, like I said, I have a plan and that plan included him and they gave me the job," Ham said. That's all folks!

This is what Ham is saying but what is the Lakers front office doing behind the scenes?
Will Westbrook Remain?
There are just two weeks before the season starts so if Westbrook is going to get traded, it needs to happen quickly.
Imagine that the Lakers do flip the switch on this trade.
That would give both Hield and Turner just a couple of weeks to adjust to Ham and the team and their style of play.
There are now more than a few fans of the team who think the Lakers should just sit and ride it out instead of possibly jeopardizing the future of the squad even more.
All eyes are once again on the Lakers and the choice they have to make with Westbrook.
