There is a very good chance that LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers will become the all-time leader in NBA points this season.
James has already broken a number of records throughout his career but this would be the biggest one yet.
It’s cause for celebration, there is no doubt about that.
Oddly enough, James seems pretty lukewarm about the man who he will surpass when he claims this huge honor.
LeBron was asked about his thoughts & relationship with Kareem.
“No thoughts & no relationship.”

Following a preseason game loss to the Sacramento Kings the other night, James was asked if he had thoughts about surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most points in the NBA.
He was also asked if he had a relationship with the Lakers legend.
James’ response was blunt and short: “No thoughts and no relationship.”
That was it, that was all he had to say.
The tone of voice and the body language coming from James have a lot of people talking.
Going For The Number One Spot
James currently has 37,062 career points for his 19 years in the league.
Meanwhile, Abdul-Jabbar recorded 38,387.
It’s very likely that James will be overtaking Abdul-Jabbar in the next few months and, when he does, the former champion will likely be on hand to celebrate him.
So, why does it seem like James wants nothing to do with him?
Abdul-Jabbar has been vocal with criticism of James over the years, most especially lately during the COVID pandemic.
James has made a few statements related to vaccines and the virus that Abdul-Jabbar saw as dangerous, and he called the Lakers superstar out.
Did that get under his skin?
Possibly, or maybe the man was just tired and bummed by his team’s loss to the Kings.
Following his statement, he will surely be asked about this again.
