Dennis Schroder is currently overseas representing his home country Germany in the EuroBasket competition – and it’s improving his standing in the NBA.
The guard is doing quite well, averaging 20.2 points and 7.2 assists a game through six matches.
With his help, his team eliminated Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Greek crew.
But although he is cleaning up in those games, he still doesn’t know about his future in the league.
Schroder is a free agent currently but no team has been racing to sign him.
Are there really 30 point guards in the NBA better than Dennis Schroder (who is still a free agent)?

Ben Stinar raises an important question about Schroder following his great success in the EuroBasket games: “Are there really 30 point guards in the NBA better than Dennis Schroder (who is still a free agent)?”
Will Schroder be without a team for much longer?
Where To For Schroder?
There are many speculating that Schroder will be returning to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The team, which always needs help shooting, was his home for a single season back in 2020-21.
He started in 61 games for the franchise and put up 15.4 points and 5.8 assists.
However, he had a rough run in the playoffs and shot 0-for-9 against the Phoenix Suns in Game 4.
But it must be noted that he also put up 24 and 20 points in Games 2 and 3 so he should be remembered for more than just his Game 4 collapse.
Schroder was once one of the most talked-about guards in the NBA but his star power has diminished a lot over the years.
His recent showing in the EuroBasket games has put a bit more interest in him but there are still quite a few teams who are cautious about what he could bring.
At this point in his career, he isn’t nearly as expensive as he once was so the chances of him finding a new home in the NBA are high.
