The James Harden rumors have become fact as he is reportedly being traded by the Brooklyn Nets to the Philadelphia 76ers in a blockbuster deal.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski dropped one of his vintage “Woj bombs” to announce the move Thursday afternoon.
The Brooklyn Nets are trading James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two first-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Harden is reportedly headed to Philly in exchange for Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two first-round draft picks.
This is a monumental deal and as expected, the entire NBA world is reacting to the news.

NBA World Reacts To The Harden Trade
The notable swap here is Harden for Simmons.
The former gets to chase a title with Joel Embiid in Philadelphia, while the latter teams up with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant to actually get on the floor this season.
There’s no more excuses for James Harden

Irving, Harden, Durant went from possibly being the best trio ever to the worst trio assembled.

Yet this has to be a shock for Nets fans.
Their Big 3 was just assembled last season and it has already fallen apart.
Add in Irving only being able to play on the road and what was once an ideal plan has caved in before we could even reach this year’s postseason.
are we trying to tell ourselves that the Nets are better with Ben Simmons than James Harden lol

the harden/simmons deal is so volatile.
one of these teams are going to the ECF and the other team is going to be a first round exit and we have no idea which team itll be lmao

The reaction is all over the place because there is really no telling how this trade will work out.
Will Simmons finally agree to take the court now that he has been traded?
If not, the Nets may truly implode with even more drama added to the roster.
Harden’s legacy is another storyline here.
He forced his way out of Houston last year to get to Brooklyn, only to force his way out again.
Moving forward, teams may have a tough time committing to him if he wants out when adversity arises.
Ben Simmons locking up Harden in the playoffs and KD cooking them #nets #76ers

The Nets still have Durant, so that fact alone means they are not totally doomed.
This is just a total shock given how much the Brooklyn trio was hyped up just one year ago.
