The New Orleans Pelicans have gone through a lot this season.
Standing on a 5-22 record, they still have a long way to go until they finally limp to the finish line.
Willie Green’s team started the season with plenty of promise, but injuries derailed their campaign almost before it even started.
That’s why, according to NBA insiders Jake Fischer and Marc Stein, the team is seriously considering going through a bit of a panic sale (via NBA Central).

They’re open to trading every player on the team not named Herb Jones, Yves Missi, and Trey Murphy III.
Needless to say, the fact that they will consider moving on from all their players isn’t surprising at all.
What is a bit of a surprise is to see those three make the cut and be the only ones who are safe.
Granted, Jones looks like a potential defensive superstar, and Missi and Murphy III have been solid, but still.
That means that all teams in the league may now inquire about Brandon Ingram, C.J. McCollum, Dejounte Murray, and, more importantly, Zion Williamson.
The former No. 1 pick is a generational talent, but he has seldom been healthy.
Alas, his once-promising career has hit multiple bumps along the way, and there have always been major concerns about his work ethic and eating habits.
That would make his trade value somewhat hard to guess, but given his youth and talent, multiple teams will be more than willing to take the risk.
