Russell Westbrook has had a challenging season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lakers too, are having quite an abysmal season, as they sit seven games below the .500 mark with a 28-35 record.
They are also barely holding onto the ninth spot in the Western Conference.
The Lakers have dealt with several inconsistencies all season long, which have them playing well below expectations.
However, one reporter has quite an interesting take.
Ben Stinar believes that Westbrook is not the problem, and that if you simply stuck him on the Orlando Magic, he would be able to take that team to the playoffs.
If you put Russell Westbrook on the Orlando Magic (the worst team in the NBA).. guarantee you’d they make the playoffs!

A Bold Statement
This is a bold claim, and while Westbrook is not the only problem with the Lakers right now, he still is one of the many issues plaguing the team.
Stinar doesn’t even have any evidence to back up his claim.
The Magic are also having quite a rough season, and with Westbrook enduring his own struggles, there’s little reason to suggest that having him on the Magic would change their fate in any way.
We also must consider that Westbrook is playing alongside players such as LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
One would think that this Lakers team would and should run like a well-oiled machine.
However, the truth has been the opposite for Los Angeles, who don’t look like they are going to stand much of a chance in the play-in game against either the New Orleans Pelicans or the San Antonio Spurs.
It’s still interesting to see a reporter who believes Westbrook, with as bad of a season as he’s having, would be able to save the Magic.
