For the last few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation and many rumors about the future of Anthony Davis with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Just a couple of months ago, Davis was seen as the clear future of the team and it was as if nothing could change that.
Now, some people aren’t so sure.
He has recently seemed disheartened and upset with his team and made a few moves that suggest he is increasingly unhappy.
“I talked to an NBA source who I’ve known for a long time, he said the Dallas Mavericks and Anthony Davis, keep your eye on it…Anthony Davis is pouting, LeBron’s holding him accountable, LeBron’s not happy with him.”

Colin Cowherd is fanning the flames, saying that he heard Davis might be leaving.
Cowherd’s direct quote:
“I talked to an NBA source who I’ve known for a long time, he said the Dallas Mavericks and Anthony Davis, keep your eye on it. Anthony Davis is pouting, LeBron’s holding him accountable, LeBron’s not happy with him.”
His words should be taken with a massive grain of salt but Cowherd is not the first to suggest that Davis might request a change of scenery if things don’t get better in LA.
However, if Davis and the Lakers continue to perform as they did on Wednesday night, he might find joy in playing again.
They easily defeated the New Orleans Pelicans and the entire team played well as a unit, with Davis at the center of it all.
Davis seems to like playing alongside newcomer D’Angelo Russell and he was definitely feeling more like his old self, scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds.
He looked happy on the court once again.
We don’t know how a trade with the Dallas Mavericks – or any other team – would work because the Lakers would want a lot in return for Davis.
Instead of that happening, LA’s front office will attempt to keep him very happy.
