Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers were beside themselves the other day when rumors began to swirl about LeBron James‘ unhappiness.
Some reports were saying that James was “at war” with the team’s front office and was incredibly upset with the way the organization was handling things, especially in light of their lack of moves during the NBA trade deadline.
There were some who even said James was thinking of leaving the team.
Now more insight into the situation is coming from a trusted source, and it should ease the minds of LA fans everywhere.

Shams Charania stated that he doesn’t think James is packing his bags and leaving LA, saying:
“I personally don’t see a scenario where LeBron James is bolting from the Lakers to the Cavs.”
Even if James isn’t going anywhere, that doesn’t change the fact that the Lakers are struggling and need to do something – and soon.
Lacking Lakers
James has every right to be upset with the team because they are nowhere near where they should be.
With the talent they have, the Lakers should easily be toward the top of the Western Conference.
Instead, they are struggling to make the top eight and their postseason prospects seem dark.
This is all happening while James is playing some of the best basketball of his career and has taken his game to incredible levels despite his age.
James just needs everyone else on his team to play with the same enthusiasm he is – or head elsewhere if they won’t.
The problem is that the team has a lot of money tied up in big contracts, like Russell Westbrook‘s, and that means they don’t have a lot of wiggle room or options when it comes to trades.
They will need to get very creative in the offseason to change up this roster.
