LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers took a moment to reflect on his career, his life, and his legacy during last weekend’s All-Star Game.
Behind the scenes before the game, James commented on how far he’s come and how important the All-Star Game has been to his career.
“I was 18 years old when I got drafted into the NBA now I’m 18 straight in the All-Star Game”

“I was 18 years old when I was drafted into the NBA. Now I’m 18 straight in the All-Star Game,” James said, soaking in what it all meant.
This goes to show just how important James has been for the NBA and what a dominant force he’s been since day one.
LeBron Is Still LeBron
James has been on fire this year, even though he’s 37 years old.
He is averaging 29.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists a game.
Again, the man is 37 and he’s still putting up those MVP-worthy numbers.
This is no denying that he’s the most important part of the Lakers and the only reason they’re still even in contention for the playoffs.
He is carrying the entire team on his massive shoulders – but that’s nothing new.
Again and again, throughout his career, James has been the most dominant force on any team he’s been a part of.
This is just one of the reasons why James has been selected for the All-Star Game 18 years in a row.
He really is a player unlike any other and is seemingly defying Father Time.
Surprisingly, he shows very few signs of slowing down soon.
So that means that his 19th All-Star Game is all but assured.
