Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is now a four-time NBA champion.
Yes, he has his detractors and there are some people who say he is past his prime.
But numbers are numbers and it cannot be denied that Green has four rings while most other NBA players don’t have one.

Because of that, he thinks he deserves a lot of compensation for his skills.
It is now being reported that Green “wants and believes” he deserves a maximum contract extension with the Warriors.
This puts Golden State in quite the pickle and it remains to be seen how they will respond to Green’s wishes.
Is this the end of the road for this legendary relationship?
Green Making Green
Green wants a max contract that would secure him $164.2 million over the next five seasons.
That is an awful lot of money for Green, who put up 7.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7 assists in the 2021-22 season.
He hasn’t averaged more than eight points since the 2017 season and has experienced quite a few injuries lately.
Yet, he still thinks he’s worthy of the cash.
Inside reports say that the Warriors aren’t willing to pony up that paycheck so we aren’t sure what the next step will be.
Are there other teams in the league willing to spend that sort of money on Green?
He’s an older player with a diminished output and a record of injuries – and a slew of technical fouls.
Is that the sort of guy that front offices are eager to sign?
Green’s future should be with the Warriors, there is no doubt about it.
But his asking price is too high for them right now so they need to figure out some sort of compromise.
