There are plenty of reasons for athletes to model themselves after Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.
He’s one of the greatest players to ever step foot on an NBA court, is the all-time three-point champion, and is a four-time Finals victor too.
But right now people are mimicking Curry in other, surprising ways.
A movement!! 😂😴 https://t.co/1avWOKCzzp

FC Barcelona player Ousmane Dembele was spotted doing Curry’s patented “night night” celebration during a recent game and the image of him doing so went viral.
Curry took note of it, retweeting the photo of Dembele and saying that it is part of “a movement!!”
People are really loving Curry’s new, fun gesture and it’s sure to return next season.
All of this just shows how influential the former MVP really is.
Curry Celebrates
No one can deny that Curry is one of the most important and popular and influential basketball players of all time.
Following his latest Finals success, people are saying he’s one of the greatest to ever play the game.
That may very well be true but his power goes beyond his trophies.
The guy is someone who players look up to and idolize.
He has definitely changed the way that young athletes perform in just about every sport but definitely in basketball.
From his speed to his persona to even his body type and physical build, people want to be Curry.
They also love his attitude and his moments of flare, like the “night night” celebration.
Expect to see plenty more of Curry’s gesture in the weeks and months and maybe years ahead.
Yes, Curry will do it a few times next season but it’s now so widespread that it will be permeating into every sport.
