As soon as the Washington Wizards let it be known that Bradley Beal was available for trade, multiple teams reached out to them with some interesting offers.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Milwaukee Bucks, Sacramento Kings, and Miami Heat were just some of the many teams that came knocking and asking for Beal, but he eventually decided to join the Phoenix Suns.

Charania revealed that the entire Suns organization was quite aggressive in their pursuit of Beal, with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, GM James Jones, and even new coach Frank Vogel trying to recruit him.
Beal had a full no-trade clause in his contract, so he could’ve vetoed any other trade, even if they were better than the offer the Wizards were eventually forced to take.
They traded their franchise player for a handful of second-round picks, pick swaps, Chris Paul, and a salary-filler in Landry Shamet, who was going to be traded anyway.
The Suns are evidently all-in on winning a championship next season, but things won’t be that easy.
Of course, they now have one of the most stacked — if not the most stacked — starting lineups in the league, but they also have just four players under contract and north of $160 million committed to those players combined.
They’ll have to fill in the roster with veteran minimum contracts, and there won’t be that much talent available for their bench, which was also a major issue just weeks ago when they lost in the playoffs.
