The Phoenix Suns continue to make moves to try and win an NBA championship right now.
They are set to acquire Bradley Beal for next to nothing, boosting their title odds and leapfrogging the Milwaukee Bucks for the third-highest odds of winning the upcoming title, per ESPN.
The Suns had +900 odds before the trade, and those odds have gone up to +600 now, trailing just the Denver Nuggets (+450) and Boston Celtics (+550).

The Bucks (+700), Los Angeles Lakers (+1300), and Golden State Warriors (+1300) round out the list.
Notably, the Suns only have four players under contract now, meaning they might struggle vastly to complete their roster.
Unless they find a trade partner for Deandre Ayton — which seems unlikely at this moment — they’re going to be stuck with veteran minimum contracts, severely hampering their ability to put together a competitive team.
Of course, their starting lineup featuring four All-Star-caliber players, two of which are All-NBA kind of guys, and two of the best and most efficient scorers in the game, will be one of the best in the league.
But they don’t have a traditional point guard anymore, and depth can take you a long way in the playoffs, as they learned the hard way this season.
Moreover, both Durant and Beal have missed plenty of games over the past couple of years with multiple ailments, and they’re not getting any younger.
Once again, this team could look quite good on paper, but history has proved over and over that paper doesn’t win games, let alone NBA championships.
