The Charlotte Hornets are on the verge of acquiring a first-round pick to send Terry Rozier to the Miami Heat.
The Hornets will also acquire Kyle Lowry as a part of the deal, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him leave the premises without suiting up for them even once.
Lowry is a proven veteran in this league and is in the final year of his contract, so he could agree to a contract buyout to sign with a championship contender and pursue another ring.
On top of that, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that the team isn’t done making moves right now, and they’ll look to recoup even more draft capital ahead of the upcoming trade deadline.
The Hornets aren't done dealing yet and plan to continue accumulating future assets ahead of the February 8th trade deadline, sources tell ESPN.

Judging by their contract situations, Gordon Hayward and Frank Ntikilina look like other potential trade candidates, although Hayward could also be bought out.
Miles Bridges could also be on his way out, although his reputation and trade value took a significant hit because of his off-court behavior.
P.J. Washington is still under contract for the next three years and he could make up for an interesting option for teams looking for some size in the frontcourt, although they may not want to part ways with him.
All players not named Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball could be up for grabs at the right price, and it seems like it’ll be a very long while before the Hornets are even slightly ready to make a push for a postseason berth or even the Play-In Tournament.
