You can say what you want about LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers but one thing cannot be denied: he is the sort of talent who really does bring in a crowd.

Crypto.com Arena is packed every time James plays, even when the Lakers aren’t playing well and are losing games.

Ever since entering the league, people have wanted to see every single thing James does.

Drew League Commissioner said about 2,500 fans attended LeBron James' game at the Drew today, and the gym's capacity is at 1,300. Fans showed up as early as 6:30 am PT. LeBron's game didn't start until around 1:45 pm PT.

That includes playing in Drew League games.

James returned to the Drew League on Saturday, participating in a game that was beyond sold out.

Mark Medina reports that about 2,500 fans attended James’ game although the capacity for the gym was only 1,300.

He also said that fans were showing up to get their spot in the stands as early as 6:30 a.m. and the game didn’t even start until 1:45 p.m.

That’s a lot of time to wait in the hot southern California sun but it was well worth it.

James Returns

You have to remember that many of the fans attending Drew League games don’t often make it to Crypto.com Arena to see the Lakers play in person.

And even if they do, seeing James like this is wildly different than seeing him in a regular season game.

As you can tell, the Drew League gym is much smaller than an arena, which means that fans were just feet away from James.

They could hear his voice, they could see his sweat glisten, and they could reach out and touch him.

James is a talent unlike any other and he attracts fans in ways that others do not.

It’s wild to think that nearly 20 years into his NBA career he is still drawing such interest and praise but that is just what this NBA legend does.
