The Brooklyn Nets needed a change of direction.
They’re not a contending team right now, and it seemed like coach Jacque Vaughn has lost the locker room.
Considering the circumstances, it wasn’t much of a surprise to see that the team decided to move on from the coach.
Now, a report by NBA insider Adam Zagoria reveals that former UConn coach and Nets assistant coach Kevin Ollie is expected ‘to get a long look’ for the position.

The Nets have the potential to be a solid defensive team, with guys like Mikal Bridges and Nic Claxton anchoring their defense.
Nonetheless, despite some promising players like Cam Thomas, this team might not have enough talent in their ranks to compete at a high level.
In hindsight, the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving signing only set this team up for failure.
Needless to say, every single team would’ve done the same in their position, but they didn’t get anything but trouble and a subpar return for their services.
This team will have a tough time coming back from this.
With everything that has transpired over the past three years or so, they could find plenty of trouble luring top-notch free agents to come and bail them out.
