Dallas, Texas is currently a frozen ice land and that is complicating upcoming plans for the NBA.
The Detroit Pistons were planning to fly out of Dallas on Wednesday and head back home to take on the Washington Wizards that evening.
But the nasty weather made that impossible and that game has now officially been postponed.
With concern that the Pistons may not be able to fly out of Dallas until Thursday because of icing issues, there’s obvious uncertainty about the Pelicans’ ability to fly into Dallas today for Thursday's game vs. the Mavericks. Pelicans are in Denver now.

Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that there is now concern that the upcoming match between the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans might also be delayed.
Due to icing issues, there is uncertainty about the ability of the Pelicans to fly into Texas.
The team, currently in Denver, is waiting on word from the NBA about what to do next.
It looks very likely that the game between these two teams, set for Thursday night, will be postponed because the weather isn’t going to get much better any time soon.
This is obviously bad news for all of the fans who were hoping to attend the game.
But it’s also bad news for the two teams who are both eager for wins.
The Mavericks are the sixth team in the West and just secured an important win after a few rough games.
As for the Pelicans, they are in the midst of an awful losing streak and have fallen nine times in a row to various teams.
They were hoping that Thursday’s game would give them a chance to get back on track.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans and it now seems like they will have to wait a bit longer for their next chance at redemption.
The league will closely monitor the weather in Texas before they postpone more games but it seems likely that changes to the schedule are coming.
