The Cleveland Browns were unable to find sustained success this season, finishing the 2022 campaign with a 7-10 record, finishing last in the AFC North.
Even though the team struggled as a whole, they were able to find a few bright spots with key individual contributors.

Myles Garrett was one of those bright spots.
The Browns’ former number-one overall draft pick had an incredible season, and finished as the highest-graded edge defender on the season, according to PFF.
Garrett finished the season with 60 total tackles, 16 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
When Garrett lines up against an opposing team, he is a definite force to be reckoned with, and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
As a whole, the Browns’ defense underwhelmed preseason expectations, and they will look for Garrett to help lead them to greater success in 2023.
Garrett is under contract until 2026 with the Browns and should be a key contributor for them for the foreseeable future.
For as good as Garrett has been, however, he is only one player.
The Browns will need others to step up in 2023 if they want to compete in the AFC North.
Given the strength of division rivals Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, the Browns will need to find additional weapons to put beside Garrett via free agency and the draft.
What will the Browns look like in 2023, given the current state of the team?
Will quarterback Deshaun Watson be able to overcome the shortfalls that came from not playing for nearly two seasons?
We’ll soon find out what the Browns are made of.
