Mookie Betts is a unique ballplayer who can do a lot of different things on a baseball field.
He can hit for power, play defense, and run.
Let’s talk about his ability to run for a minute.
He’s incredibly fast and can run down balls hit in the gap.
He can also run the bases pretty well.
Running the bases well often leads to the creation of more runs for one’s team.
And through Betts’ first 36 games of the year, he has had himself quite a blast scoring runs.
He’s scored 35 thus far, which according to MLB Stats on Twitter is the most by a Los Angeles Dodgers‘ player since Johnny Frederick and Babe Herman did it in 1930.

Mookie Providing A Spark For The Dodgers
Betts made plenty of history as a member of the Boston Red Sox and hasn’t skipped a beat since having been traded over to Los Angeles.
He’s helped the Dodgers maintain the status quo of being a World Series title contender year in and year out.
His ability to run the bases and score runs is no exception.
He just brings a little extra spark to a lineup.
He’s done just that as a member of the Dodgers and has played a key role in their recent postseason runs, including the 2020 World Series championship.
And he’s in some good company too for his milestone early this season.
The energy he brings helps light a fire under a team and get them a little extra motivated to win ballgames.
Scoring runs will do that for any ballclub and it’s worked so far for the Dodgers.
Betts will only continue to provide that spark and help the Dodgers win ballgames.
