Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout is one of the best players ever to step foot on a baseball field.
He has worldwide recognition and is determined to make something good out of it.
Alongside MLB Together, the Angels star is embarking on a new project: using his image and influence to help those in need when it comes to mental health.
He made the announcement himself via his official Twitter account.
“Be kind to others, be kind to yourself, and don’t be afraid to ask for help! Very happy to announce that I will be a Mental Wellness Ambassador as part of the #MLBTogether platform with @MLB. My family & I are excited to bring mental health to the forefront and represent a cause that is near & dear our hearts,” he tweeted.

Trout being a Mental Wellness Ambassador is a nice initiative by himself and the league and it’s already helping people talk about their issues.
Lots of fans felt compelled to tell their stories in the replies to Trout’s tweet.
The best part of it is that the slugger took time away from his busy agenda to reply to some of them, sending good vibes and supportive messages to those in need.
Sometimes, people think there is something wrong with opening up about their mental health problems and seeking help.
There is, in addition, a social stigma about it.
However, we all need help at some point in our lives; and there is nothing wrong with reaching out to our loved ones or prepared professionals about what’s going on.
Mental health should never be ignored.
