Every year, the Dallas Cowboys are a relevant franchise in the NFL due to the team being one of the most popular professional sports teams in the world with one of the most avid fanbases in this country.
Usually, the attention given to the Cowboys is directed at the quarterback position, offense, and outspoken team owner Jerry Jones, but that seems to have changed this year.
The one player making all the noise in Dallas right now is rising star Micah Parsons, who is already getting comparisons to NFL legend Lawrence Taylor, which is incredible considering most people believe Taylor is the best defensive player ever.
The reason why Parsons makes so much noise is the fact he’s electrifying on the football field as arguably the best linebacker in the game and has incredibly high expectations for himself that he doesn’t mind making public.
Recently, Parsons made it clear that he doesn’t just want to be a Hall of Famer, but wants to be one of the greatest Hall of Famers of all time, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
Micah Parsons: “I don’t think I just want to make the Hall of Fame, I want to be known as one of the greatest Hall of Famers. There’s categories to everything. There’s good, there’s great, and there’s perfect. … I don’t want to just be mentioned in the Hall of Fame. Yeah, that’s… pic.twitter.com/6gQfPAEjqI

At 24 years old and heading into only his third season, that’s a bold statement to make, but that’s how confident Parsons is in his ability, and he’s shown that during his first two seasons in the league with the Cowboys being named an All-Pro in two straight years.
Although the pressure is always a bit more when a player plays for America’s Team, Parsons seems to embrace that pressure and excels, which makes most believe he might be able to live up to these incredibly high expectations while being the leader of the defense in Dallas.
