The Dallas Cowboys haven’t won or even been to the Super Bowl since the 1995 season, and their fans have grown restless.
The team has been fortunate enough to have one of the NFL’s more talented rosters over the last few years, but they haven’t even made it to the NFC Championship Game.
This season, Dallas has brought in even more talent, including wide receiver Brandin Cooks and cornerback Stephon Gilmore, but on defense, they will still be led by pass rusher Micah Parsons.
Parsons recently said that if he manages to win the Defensive Player of the Year award, his squad should be in the big game, via FOX Sports: NFL on Twitter.

Parsons was the runner-up for the award last season, which ended up going to Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers.
He did post 13.5 sacks, 26 quarterback hits, and 13 tackles for loss, and as a result, he was named to both the Pro Bowl and All-Pro First Team for the second time in his two-year career.
Thanks largely to Parsons, the Cowboys ranked fifth in the league in points allowed.
The presence of Gilmore, a five-time Pro Bowler, combined with fellow Pro Bowl corner Trevon Diggs should make them even more formidable on defense this fall and winter.
But the Cowboys’ chances of winning it all will largely rest on the shoulders of quarterback Dak Prescott.
He has been criticized for not playing well in big games, and that is a problem he needs to rectify if Dallas is to return to the top of the football world after all these years.
