Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is picking up where he left off last season when he won Defensive Rookie of the Year.
The former Penn State standout has six sacks, 16 solo tackles, seven tackles for losses, and one forced fumble through their first five games.
More importantly, he leads a defensive unit that gives up the second-fewest points in the league at 14.4 points per game.
The Cowboys are also ranked seventh in total yards surrendered at 311.4 per game.
But while Parsons and the Cowboys are finding much success, he is still finding topics to rant about.
His point of interest: the controversial roughing the passer calls in Week 5.

The Athletic’s Jon Machota tweeted Parsons’ thoughts on those questionable calls.
Parsons said, “We got a job to hit somebody. That’s what I get paid to do. That’s the reason why I’m still here and get my pay stub every Thursday, to hit people. And it’s kind of making it difficult for a lot of players around the league to hit people. We got to find a better way to adjust, or they got to find a better way to help us out there.”
He finished with, “If I get a fine, I get a fine. If I don’t, I don’t. I’m playing football to help my team win games, and I know what to do that we’ve got to sack the quarterback.”
The League Takes Action
Discussions involving game officials, league officials, and the players’ representatives regarding roughing the passer calls have been called.
That penalty came into the spotlight after Atlanta Falcons defensive end Grady Jarrett was penalized after his sack on Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.
Meanwhile, Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones was in the same situation after a seemingly clean tackle on Las Vegas Raiders play-caller Derek Carr.
