The Dallas Cowboys have already named Cooper Rush their starting quarterback for Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
While the Eagles put their undefeated 5-0 record on the line, Rush will also be putting up his 5-0 record as Cowboys starter in jeopardy.
A Dallas victory over Philadelphia can create controversy because Rush is on a hot streak, while Dak Prescott is already set to return.
But Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb put any doubt to rest after attesting to Prescott’s return to full strength.
Dak Prescott assured reporters he has velocity on his throws and told us to ask his receivers to confirm. So I asked #Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb: “Physically, he’s got his power back. You feel it in every throw.’’ After another DNP, Prescott said he expects to do more tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/2DnyscF9H5

Soon To Be Back Dak
Prescott has been sidelined since Week 1 after suffering a thumb injury during their season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The surgery was successful, and the timetable for his return was initially set at six to eight weeks.
However, it was reduced to four to six weeks because of his quick recovery.
Eventually, the Cowboys did not place him on injured reserve, hoping he will return within four weeks.
The team is not rushing his return, especially because they are on a four-game winning streak.
But if everything goes well, Prescott may take the field as their starter in Week 7 when the Cowboys face the Detroit Lions.
Aside from his thumb injury, Prescott also dealt with a shoulder injury during the offseason.
He was also limited to five games in the 2020 season after suffering a season-ending ankle injury in their Week 5 game versus the New York Giants.
