In another dispiriting showing, the New York Giants were embarrassed as they got blown out by the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
Giants fans had to be dismayed at what they saw on the field as the offense failed to get anything going with Daniel Jones.
Jones was under duress almost the entire night, especially when Seattle jumped out to a double-digit lead.
With the Giants needing to pass, the Seahawks did the obvious thing and brought extra pressure each time that ultimately resulted in 11 sacks.
It was a rough night for Jones as he mustered up just 203 passing yards and was picked off twice, though it’s hard to really blame him for the team’s offensive woes.
In fact, Jones even got some sympathy from an NFC East rival in Micah Parsons via his Twitter account.
Very easy to say it’s Daniel jones….. https://t.co/ZZGZPbxmSL

Fans are quick to blame a quarterback whenever their team fails to move the football, but in this case, Parsons points out that Jones didn’t have any time to work within the pocket nearly every time he dropped back to pass.
New York’s offensive line played about as poorly as they could have and Jones ended up suffering because of it.
This has been a common area of weakness for the Giants as the O-line’s inability to hold up in pass protection has hurried up Jones and forced him into some pretty terrible throws.
Compounding the matter is the absence of Saquon Barkley who remains out with an ankle injury.
With the Miami Dolphins on tap for Week 5, New York could be staring down another loss.
