Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby won’t take the field again this season.
The superstar defensive end suffered a season-ending ankle injury, and he had to go under the knife to address it.
Nevertheless, as tough as that might be for him, he knows the best is yet to come.
Talking to Jim Gray for his “Let’s Go!” podcast, the superstar defenseman looks forward to coming back stronger and better (via SiriusXM NFL Radio).

Crosby acknowledged that it was frustrating to fall with an injury just when he was starting to feel like himself again.
Then again, he feels like he’s always at his best when he has a chip on his shoulder.
Notably, his team might look very different next season.
There have been some major rumblings regarding Antonio Pierce’s future with the organization, and most people believe Mark Davis is leaning toward parting ways with him.
Tom Brady just joined the organization, and while he’s not expected to have a big say in everyday operations, they will still reach out to him to listen to what he has to say.
The Raiders will most likely use their first-round pick – which is projected to be either No. 1 or No. 2 – to land a franchise quarterback.
They already have a solid building block on offense in star TE Brock Bowers, and their defense might not be that far behind.
It’s been a tough season in Sin City, especially for Crosby, but it might get worse before it gets any better.
