Luka Doncic was selected as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks but was later traded to the Dallas Mavericks.
Since making his debut for the Mavericks, the European star has only improved his game in the league.
However, as good as Doncic has been during his career, he is yet to receive the honor of becoming the MVP of the league.
Well, it could change this season if the Mavericks finish as one of the best teams in the NBA because Doncic is once again averaging sensational numbers.
So much so that Doncic recently received MVP chants from the crown in Brooklyn, as shared via Bally Sports Southwest on Twitter.

Doncic showed his usual excellence against the Nets as he finished the game with 35 points, 18 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block in 43 minutes of playing time.
Doncic’s numbers were enough to propel the Mavericks to a 119-107 win over the Nets.
Following his performance against the Nets, Doncic is now averaging 34.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 9.4 assists per game for the Mavericks this season.
As we mentioned earlier, Doncic’s numbers are more than enough to win the MVP award this season, but the Mavericks’ somewhat underwhelming record could become a hindrance for him.
The Mavericks are currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 28-23 record in the 2023-24 NBA season.
