Soon to be 37 years of age, quarterback Matthew Stafford is seemingly on the back nine of his NFL career.
However, that has not stopped him from wanting to play in 2025.
In fact, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Stafford plans to return to play for the Los Angeles Rams next season, but a new deal needs to be agreed upon before that can happen.

The Rams have had plenty of success with the Pro Bowl signal-caller under center over the last four seasons.
Stafford most notably guided the Rams to their latest Super Bowl victory in his first season with the team in 2021.
Despite injuries and early-season challenges, Stafford has led the Rams to win over nine games in three of the last four seasons, securing three playoff appearances along the way.
If the Rams can finalize a contract for the former Detroit Lion, bringing him back could be a significant move for a team that has the potential to be as formidable as any each week.
Remember, this is a team that beat the 14-win Minnesota Vikings in the wildcard round this postseason while also taking the Philadelphia Eagles down to the wire on the road in the snow during the divisional round.
While the future of veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp remains up in the air, this Rams offense still has Sean McVay. calling plays, Puka Nacua out wide, and Kyren Williams in the backfield.
Getting Stafford back would just be icing on the cake for this organization.
