The Atlanta Braves are coming off a season in which they won 101 games and captured their fifth consecutive National League East title.
Unfortunately, they lost to the eventual National League champion Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS.
However, they are retaining a core that consists of several star players, one of which is first baseman Matt Olson.
Olson was acquired by the Braves prior to the start of the 2022 season and took over first base duties after Freddie Freeman‘s departure.
And he’s had a pretty strong spring.
On Thursday, he crushed his seventh home run of the spring, and you’ll see in the following video, it was an absolute blast.

It’s safe to say that there was never any doubt that this ball was not going to be coming back.
Olson hit it right on the nose and sent it deep to right field.
And with that being his seventh home run of the spring already, things bode pretty well for him and the Braves as the 2023 MLB season continues to draw nearer.
Olson provides a ton of power from the left side of the plate and fits perfectly in a lineup that also features Ronald Acuna Jr. Austin Riley, Michael Harris II, and Ozzie Albies.
The 28-year-old had a strong first season in a Braves uniform, hitting .240 with 34 home runs, 103 RBI, and an OPS of .802.
Certainly, this is encouraging for the Braves as they look to bounce back from their postseason heartbreak and make another run at the World Series in 2023.
