Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey is raring to return to the field after an abrupt end to his 2021 season.

The former Alabama standout was doing well through 12 games with 44 solo tackles, 13 passes defended, and one interception.

Unfortunately, he suffered a season-ending torn pectoral muscle in Week 13 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers

He was the latest casualty in the Ravens’ long list of injured players.

The absences of their key players, including quarterback Lamar Jackson, had an adverse effect on their playoff chances.

From an 8-3 record, the Ravens lost six straight to bow out of postseason contention.

Therefore, the Ravens would like to bounce back by returning to their rightful place.

For that to happen, Humphrey should channel his favorite player on every snap.

Humphrey revealed that Darrelle Revis is his favorite cornerback.

Game recognizes game as an All-Pro defensive back in Humphrey recognized the man that gave rise to “Revis Island.”

It’s a spot that no wide receiver wants to be in because Revis will shut them down.

His ability to limit the other team’s best receiver earned him four All-Pro and seven Pro Bowl selections.

He also won a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots in 2014 and was a part of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.

Humphrey Is On His Way To Match His Idol’s Credentials

Meanwhile, the Ravens’ cornerback’s achievements are not too shabby because he has been a one-time All-Pro and two-time Pro-Bowler.

He also led the league in forced fumbles in 2020 with eight.

Humphrey will keep on building his legacy with the Ravens after signing a five-year, $97.5 million contract in 2020.

Like Revis, he hopes to help deliver a Super Bowl to the Ravens.
