The New Orleans Saints are undergoing an overhaul this offseason.
The team needs a new head coach and roster moves to compete in the NFC during the 2025 NFL season.
The Saints’ 2024 season was forgetful.
The team struggled on both sides of the ball, resulting in a 5-12 record that landed them in last place in the NFC South.
During the season, New Orleans fired head coach Dennis Allen and elevated special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi to become interim head coach.
Saints players showed more signs of life with Rizzi in charge, which gave some hope he could retain the job.
However, it appears New Orleans is zeroing in on Philadephia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore to become its new head coach.
With Moore seemingly in line to take over, Rizzi reportedly is on his way elsewhere.

Back with Sean Payton, and an important hire,” NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport wrote on X.

Rizzi was special teams coordinator for the Saints and worked alongside Payton when he was New Orleans head coach, so the two will get another opportunity together.
This is a strong hire for Denver, which proved to be an up-and-coming team this season.
However, New Orleans now has another coaching vacancy to fill.
