The Las Vegas Raiders can’t catch a break.
They might be among the few teams criticized for winning a football game.
Following their win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, several fans and analysts either called them out or made fun of them for hurting their draft positioning.
They are no longer in a position to receive the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which could have massive ramifications for their future.
Nevertheless, team owner Mark Davis was unmoved by that.
According to a report by Tashan Reed, Davis was in a great mood and congratulated everybody after the win.
#Raiders owner Mark Davis was in the locker room clapping and talking to Daniel Carlson and AJ Cole when the locker room opened to the media. Some other players were dancing. Davis was in a good mood. Doesn't seem to care about the draft order ramifications of the win over JAX.

Of course, from a management perspective, losing was in their best interests.
They needed to secure the first-overall selection, as it would’ve given them a prime opportunity to draft Shedeur Sanders as their new franchise quarterback.
The players, however, don’t care about that.
Football is their livelihood, and they don’t want the team to draft their replacements; they want to win.
The same goes for the head coach.
Multiple reports state that Antonio Pierce is on the hot seat and will not purposely lose if it could cost him his job.
Everybody should play to win every game, and as much sense as it might make for the fans, a coach shouldn’t just wave the white flag.
