They beat another struggling team in the Jacksonville Jaguars, which only hurt their draft positioning.
Needless to say, the fans were far from thrilled with that.
When asked about that, Raiders HC Antonio Pierce had a simple answer: Talk to Tom Telesco.

Granted, the players will likely always play hard, especially since losing might lead the team to find their potential replacement.
Also, Pierce is reportedly coaching for his job, so he won’t wave the white flag.
They were tied with the New York Giants for the worst record in the league.
Now, they may have gift-wrapped them the No. 1 selection.
As such, their chances of landing Shedeur Sanders have dropped significantly.
Of course, they can still land a top quarterback prospect like Cam Ward, but Sanders could have potentially brought much more than his talents to Sin City.
There was the prospect of them also landing Deion Sanders, and even if that wasn’t the case, all the media frenzy that may have come with Sanders could’ve been a positive thing for a team that had just relocated.
No one likes to lose, but if you’re a bottom-feeding team at this point in the season, winning is actually losing.
