The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson are in a bit of a tough spot right now.
The Ravens had multiple chances to lock him up for the future long before other young quarterbacks revalued the market for their position.
Now, Jackson has turned down multiple lucrative offers from the team, perhaps because he wants more money, perhaps because he wants more guaranteed money.
Whatever the case, the former MVP could be headed to a season playing under the franchise tag, which is far from ideal for the players and the team alike.
That’s why Ravens star Mark Andrews urged the team to work something out with their QB, as he believes he wants to be a Raven for life.
“I hope that we get my guy Lamar Jackson back because he’s a Raven for life,” Andrews said.

Jackson’s importance for the team has been evident since he took over as a starter.
However, it became even clearer this season, as he was forced to miss the final two months of the campaign with an injury, and their offense went completely stagnant.
The Ravens also need to make sure Jackson has enough weapons in the passing game to work with.
Even without Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Broown, he was having a career year in terms of passing, so they need to strengthen their offense and put more talent around him.
Some speculate Jackson could threaten to hold out and miss the season, refusing to play under the franchise tag and demanding to be traded.
So, we’ll have to wait and see how this delicate situation unfolds in the next couple of months.
