Madison Bumgarner has always been a very vocal pitcher, unafraid to voice his opinion on situations.
The Arizona Diamondbacks left-hander has been around the game of baseball long enough to have seen some changes.
This year’s changes include limits to the shift, larger bases, and the strict implementation of a pitch clock.
While some around the game have voiced their displeasure with the new rules, others have rallied in support of them.
Bumgarner is somebody who seems to support the new rules.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Bumgarner loves the pitch clock rule and even went as far as to say that he thinks it’s the best change MLB has made.
Arizona #Dbacks veteran starter Madison Bumgarner has seen plenty of rule changes in his career, but says the implementation of the pitch clock is easily the best change. He loves it.

The pitch clock affects both hitters and pitchers.
For pitchers, an automatic ball will be called if they do not deliver the pitch in the required time.
For hitters, an automatic strike will be called if they are not fully in the batter’s box by the time the clock reaches eight seconds.
Some pitchers grew frustrated over time with the number of batters who stepped out of the box and called time.
Bumgarner was one who personally wasn’t a fan of that.
However, with the clock in place, neither hitters nor pitchers have the same amount of time as they once did to get set, which ultimately results in a faster game, which is what some fans have been wanting for some time.
Clearly, Bumgarner is in support of the pitch clock and believes it will change the game for the better.
