Mac McClung Looks Like The Next Great Warriors Steal

Some people were quite surprised when the Los Angeles Lakers lost Mac McClung to the Golden State Warriors at the start of NBA Summer League.

McClung is the sort of young, energetic player that can come in clutch and be a valuable asset off of the bench.

But the Lakers decided they were going to move forward without him – and the Warriors were happy to scoop him up.

They’re even happier now.

McClung has been sensational for the Warriors, especially during Sunday night’s SL game against the San Antonio Spurs.

The guard scored 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals.

Those numbers once again show that this guy is a true talent who might be worthy of actually getting more time on the floor during the regular season in a few months.

McClung MVP

When you watch McClung play, you see someone who is persistent and finds multiple ways to get to the basket.

He’s not the biggest guy on the floor but he is willing to throw his weight behind his plays and isn’t afraid of a fight.

Additionally, he’s got great vision on the court and is able to find – and connect – with his peers.

Of course, some wonder how he would fit in a Warriors lineup during the regular season.

The team already has several of the best guards in the league, do they need someone like McClung?

Maybe, maybe not – regardless, McClung is showing why many teams should be attracted to him.

Even if things don’t work out with the Warriors this season, McClung is having the sort of games that could attract heat from all over the place.
