The day began with uncertainty about whether New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones will play in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers.
But it’s more surprising that he is practicing with the squad.

NFL Network’s Mike Giardi shared a video of Jones making throws without much movement during the beginning of team practice.
He added, “Mac never got out from behind the QB netting and barely moved at all when he was back there. Both ankles heavily taped. Viewing portion of practice now over. #Patriots.”
The second-year player from Alabama is still nursing an ankle injury he sustained in their Week 3 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
While Jones did score a rushing touchdown and threw for 321 yards in that game, he also had three interceptions.
His league-worst five interceptions tie him with Jameis Winston and Matthew Stafford.
Aside from his ankle injury, Jones also suffered a back injury during their season-opening loss to the Miami Dolphins.
He did return in Week 2 and led the Patriots to victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Through three games, Jones has a 66 percent completion rate for 786 passing yards and two touchdowns.
However, Brian Hoyer will take over now that Jones has been officially ruled out.
Patriots ruled out QB Mac Jones for Sunday’s game in Green Bay.
