The New England Patriots have struggled to find any rhythm in the season’s first three weeks.
They have a record of 1-2 and just lost their quarterback, Mac Jones, to a high-ankle sprain.
The season seems to get away from the Patriots, especially with a tough matchup with Green Bay on deck.

Playing with a backup QB the Patriots looked destined to be 1-3.
Something to think about the rest of the season is will Bill Belichick be back in 2022.
He is arguably the greatest head coach of all, but missing the playoffs again this season would be the second time in three years.
It would be crazy to think the Patriots would even consider firing Belichick.
It seems more likely that Belichick would retire long before New England considers getting rid of him.
The main problem with the Patriots is their roster is not any good.
That is not Belichick’s fault.
Mac Jones could be the long-term option but he is limited as a player, also they have no elite pass catchers.
If you look around the league all the best offenses have a great quarterback and at least one elite WR, New England has neither.
The Patriots have always been a draft-and-develop franchise.
More often than not they do not spend big money on free agents.
So all of the pressure has been on Belichick to coach a roster full of inexperienced players and make them competitive.
In 2021, he had a brilliant coaching performance when the Patriots defeated the Buffalo Bills despite throwing only three passes.
New England has always been great on special teams and is one of the most disciplined teams in the NFL.
Those things will never change for Belichick.
Overall, after everything the 70-year-old head coach, should never be on the hot seat.
The job should be his in New England as long as he wants it.
But, if he is hoping for another Super Bowl before he retires, then finding a new team might be the best decision.
There are plenty of organizations that would gladly take the six-time Super Bowl champion.
Also, there are plenty of organizations that have a better roster than the Patriots.
Legendary Career
Belichick has been the head coach in New England for 23 seasons.
In those years he has a record of 255-101.
For his career, he has 291 wins, which ranks third all-time.
He has shown no signs of wanting to retire from coaching, so he should reach 300 wins by next season.
Also, the legendary coach continues to give us great press conference content.

If we look back at the 2022 Patriots, Belichick may regret some of his assistant coaching hires.
He hired former Patriots defensive coordinator, Matt Patricia, to call the offensive plays in New England.
That is a role that Patricia is not equipped for.
Belichick is a loyal coach so his bringing back his former assistants is no surprise.
It makes you wonder what the offense would look like if they had an offensive mind running the show.
There are still plenty of weeks for the Patriots to turn their season around.
But it will be tough having to play in the same division as the Bills and Dolphins.
Belichick is being tasked with his toughest coaching assignment in a long-time in 2022.
No matter how the season turns out, Belichick should be back in 2022 if he chooses.
