Luka Doncic is adjusting to being with the Los Angeles Lakers, but he still looks back in shock at the trade that changed his life.
He recently sat down with ESPN to talk about the Lakers, the Dallas Mavericks, and more.
According to a video shared by NBACentral, Doncic was asked about general manager Nico Harrison and said he didn’t talk to him after the trade and hasn’t spoken with him since.
He also added that the things Harrison has said following the big move are “sad.”
On top of all that, Doncic confirmed that he planned to play for the Mavericks his entire career and had no desire to ever leave.
Luka Doncic says he wanted to finish his career in Dallas and says Nico Harrison’s comments are ‘sad’
“It’s just sad the way he’s talking right now…”

That last point will sting for Mavericks fans.
They didn’t want to say goodbye to Doncic, and the superstar player didn’t wish to leave.
Therefore, this move was solely because of Harrison and his desire to end the Doncic era in Dallas.
Since the trade, Harrison has said that “defense wins championships” and also added that he has no regrets about losing Doncic.
All of this has left a bad taste in Doncic’s mouth and he seems upset about it.
But he also seems to be moving on and has said he is happy in Los Angeles and very touched by the warm reception he has received from players and fans.
He was going to retire as a Maverick and now it seems as if he would like to retire as a Laker.
Dallas’ season ended on Friday night and they didn’t even reach the playoffs.
That probably makes this interview with Doncic even more painful for Dallas fans who still can’t wrap their heads around the season they just had.
