There have been a lot of conversations about Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks lately, thanks to his phenomenal game on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets.
Former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins is submitting his two cents about Irving and has a surprising opinion.
Speaking with All The Smoke Productions, via Legion Hoops, Cousins said that he takes Irving over Kobe Bryant in terms of skills.

During his 12 years in the NBA, Irving has averaged 25.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game while also accumulating a slew of league honors, such as eight All-Star appearances, Rookie of the Year, and a championship back in 2016.
He’s a future Hall of Famer and definitely one of the best players in the NBA right now but is he really better than Bryant, one of the greatest players of all time?
Cousins played against both of these players and saw their skills firsthand so his opinion is worth a lot.
It is certainly going to start a heated debate among fans.
It’s a debate that is sure to go on far into the future, as people will claim that Irving is or is not better than Bryant.
If Irving has more games like the one on Sunday and helps his Mavericks go far in the playoffs, the comparisons to Bryant and other all-time greats will continue.
As for Cousins, he recently signed a deal to rejoin the Taiwan Beer Leopards next month after previously playing with the team back in January.
Even though his time in the NBA is over, Cousins is clearly still paying close attention to the league.
