The Dallas Mavericks snuck a win past the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, beating that team 103-101 with the help of Luka Doncic, Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, and others.
As usual, it was Doncic who put the Clippers away for good with a stunning, clutch two-point shot in the final seconds of the game.
This was par for the course for Doncic, who is known for plays like this.
However, following that pivotal shot, Doncic put his finger to his mouth, seemingly telling the raucous crowd to be quiet.
“I wanted a celebration. I don’t know why I did that, honestly. I’m not going to shush our fans, so I don’t know what I was doing.”

Following the game, Doncic admitted that he wasn’t sure why he did that.
“I wanted a celebration. I don’t know why I did that, honestly,” Doncic said in the post-game press conference.
He added, “I’m not going to shush our fans, so I don’t know what I was doing.”
This was a very human, charming moment from Doncic, who is one of the best players alive but still seems like a funny, down to Earth young man.
Luka Looking Good
Doncic has made buzzer-beaters and clutch shots again and again throughout his career.
It’s just one of the reasons why he’s the most valuable player for the Mavericks.
That has become even more true this year, as he is playing the best basketball of his NBA tenure and is possibly on his way to his first MVP trophy.
Doncic is averaging 34.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 7.8 assists a game.
He started the season with a slew of 30+ point games and has been playing like a man shot out of a cannon.
Doncic is still doing incredible work: on Tuesday, he was good for 35 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Even though he tried to hush the crowd, there was no quieting their love for him.
