The writing is on the wall for the Dallas Mavericks.
They are now down in a 3-0 hole against the Golden State Warriors following a painful 109-100 Game 3 loss at home on Sunday night.
They have made it further than expected and even took down the Phoenix Suns before reaching the Western Conference Finals.
Yet, it looks like their time in the playoffs is coming to an end.
Luka Doncic: “The first three quarters, I played very bad. That’s on me. I’m still learning. I think after this season is done, whenever we are, I’m going to look back and learn a lot of things. This is my first conference finals in NBA. I’m 23, man. I’m still learning a lot.”

The team’s leader, Luka Doncic, was honest about his performance and what’s next for him following the loss.
Speaking to the press after the game, Doncic opened up about the present and the future:
“The first three quarters, I played very bad. That’s on me. I’m still learning. I think after this season is done, whenever we are, I”m going to look back and learn a lot of things. This is my first conference finals in NBA. I’m 23, man. I’m still learning a lot.”
Doncic is being optimistic about learning from this experience – that’s a smart approach.
Even Doncic’s biggest critics doubt this will be the last time he makes it to the Western Conference Finals.
Luka Looking Forward
Doncic isn’t wrong: this certainly is his first time making it this far in the playoffs.
In fact, before this season he never even left the first round.
That’s some serious progress and Doncic has stepped up to the challenge again and again.
Throughout these playoffs, Doncic has averaged 32.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 6.2 assists.
He has been truly dominant on the floor and has faced off against some of the biggest names in the league.
Doncic didn’t crack under pressure and definitely looks like a natural in the postseason.
Yes, he still has ways to grow but he’s off to a terrific start.
Once again, Doncic has shown why he’s so special.
