The Chicago Bears have the opportunity to hit the reset button and get significantly better for years to come.
Most people expect them to use the No. 1 pick to get USC star Caleb Williams, who some scouts have deemed the second coming of Patrick Mahomes.
Williams has drawn rave reviews for years now, and he seems like a lock to be the first guy off the board.
Nonetheless, former player Louis Riddick believes there’s someone better than him at the same position.
Talking on ESPN’s First Take, he claimed that he would take Jayden Daniels instead.

He stated that the LSU product showed vast improvement from last year to this one, adding that he plays with a certain calmness and poise that other prospects don’t have.
On top of his ability to make plays with his feet, Daniels has already proved himself against some of the toughest competition in college football, and Riddick believes he could be similar to CJ Stroud in the sense that he could be ready to make an impact right away.
At this point, it seems like any team couldn’t go wrong with whoever they pick No. 1 or No. 2.
Then again, with all that’s been said of Williams and with the Bears’ history of questionable decisions at the quarterback position, perhaps they’re not in a position to go in a different direction right now.
Hopefully, both players will turn out to be great, and we’ll get to witness yet another legendary quarterback competition for years to come.
