The Chicago Bears will have several valuable assets and some cash to spare entering the offseason.
GM Ryan Poles has a rare opportunity to turn an ever-struggling franchise into a legitimate powerhouse overnight, but he has to play his cards right.
That’s why he should leave no stone unturned when it comes to establishing the running game and finding the right guy to do so.
Considering that, former NFL star Ryan Clark talked about how they should go after Saquon Barkley.
In his latest appearance on ESPN’s First Take, Clark claimed that a quarterback’s best friend will always be the running game, and Barkley is still one of the best in business.
“If I am Ryan Poles and the Chicago Bears, I would see if making Saquon Barkley a part of my team is something I can make happen,” Clark said.

He believes Barkley will play with a huge chip on his shoulder next season to prove how wrong the New York Giants were for letting him just walk away like that.
Of course, there will be no shortage of suitors for the Penn State product, even despite his injury-proneness.
Barkley is one of the most dominant running backs we’ve seen in quite a while, and he’d be the ultimate escape valve for a potential rookie quarterback.
The Bears already have one of the best defenses in the game, and they could also get a legitimate threat in the passing game if they take Malik Nabers or Rome Udonze with the No. 9 pick.
Add Caleb Williams and Saquon Barkley to this mix, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see them compete for a divisional title as early as next season.
